Most people in the computer industry know that Apple Macintosh computers are synonymous with graphics and graphic design, and Desktop Power located at 71 Upper Heildelberg Road Ivanhoe is a local business specialising in Macintosh.

With a business philosophy that is based on customer service Desktop Power is a company that proudly states that most of their business is based on existing and repeat customers. New customers generally come by word of mouth. It shows that their motto of "Care for our customers" is working.


Jim Valle says that "This is a competitive environment with very low margins so customer service is the only thing that makes our kind of business stand out"

Jim and Phil Warren established the business in 1992 and cater primarily for Small Business and Educational Institutions. They are the preferred suppliers for Latrobe, Monash & Swinburne Universities and many of Melbourne's TAFE colleges.

The services they provide include sales and servicing of all models of the Macintosh range from the i-mac to the G4 desktop, the latest software (specialising in Apple), Internet design and more. See the products and services page for a detailed listing.

Hours of business are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9.30am to 2pm.
